Juliann brings forth team building and integrity to ensure that EMCOR Services Mesa Energy Systems maintains strong internal control through disciplined practices of accounting process and procedures. Juliann and her team prepare monthly financial statements according to the firm’s accounting policies and reconcile all balance sheet accounts. She collaborates with her to team to effectively manage financial reporting, forecasts, budgets, tax filings, insurance questionnaires, and audits. Juliann continually identifies and improves weak control areas while carefully evaluating financial risks for Mesa.
Juliann is an accomplished financial professional with thirty years of experience in the accounting field. She spent a decade with Baker Commodities, a refinery operation, perfecting her cost accounting knowledge, inventory valuation, consolidations, corporate allocations, and system conversions. Juliann assumed role of designing all financial and management reports, forms, and processes. Eager to advance her career, she joined EMCOR’s subsidiary, CBRE Technology Services, in 2000 as controller. She was integral in implementing the COINS accounting system as well as developing an in-house payroll process. This method improved accuracy and streamlined the timeliness of billing and job costing. Juliann joined the Mesa team in 2008 and within her first year, had automated and simplified outdated accounting processes, enabling the back office to handle the 100% growth the firm accomplished over previous few years.
Juliann holds a master’s degree in accountancy/taxation from California State University – Los Angeles and is a certified public accountant (CPA) in California.
The Personal Side
Juliann has two loving sons and adores her grand-daughter, Daisy. She frequently leads mission trips to support the local missionaries in Philippines, Mexico, and Japan.
