As the Director of Sales for Mesa Energy Systems, James is responsible for the oversight and management of 23 direct sales reports. He builds and maintains client relationships and works to develop energy conservation opportunities for clients in the Southern California market. James and his team deploy leading-edge technologies to help clients achieve and exceed their energy reduction goals. His involvement in the day-to-day management and coaching of his sales team has led to a 12 percent year-over-year increase in sales production.


As a seasoned professional, James has over 40 years of experience in the HVAC industry with emphasis in project management and development, sales, and management of sales teams. Throughout his career, he has had extensive involvement with developing scopes of work and budgets for clients, implementing safety plans, and continually achieving sales goals.

James’ approach to energy conservation entails conducting site audits, developing building base lines, and identifying energy saving measures by utilizing industry technologies. His unique approach enables clients the opportunity to upgrade and maintain HVAC and lighting systems. James and his team have assisted many clients throughout California to formulate cost-effective energy saving strategies for mechanical and lighting retrofits. He has played a key role in implementing over $58M in mechanical retrofits.

A life-long learner, James is a graduate of Southern California College in Costa Mesa, CA and keeps up-to-date with leading industry trends.

The Personal Side

James enjoys spending time with his best friend and wife of 45 years, Pam, being a care giver to his disabled daughter and grandson, and hanging out with his daughters and grandchildren.
