Ken Riley

From development through operations, Ken leads and directs our solar and renewable team. He helps support both internal and external stakeholders in the planning, design, entitlement, and execution of renewable projects. 

Ken is responsible for developing and training the staff on our renewable team. He strives to grow a high skilled team that is aligned with our departmental vision and organization values. 

In an effort to increase efficiency, eliminate waste, and improve overall customer experience, Ken also focuses on seamlessly integrating project development with execution. This includes working with sales staff in developing projects with their clients and, when needed, collaborating directly with strategic clients.

In all his work, Ken remains dedicated to promoting environmental and economic sustainability through renewable energy initiatives.

Expertise

For more than two decades, Ken has worked in electrical construction and general construction, specializing in solar and energy storage for the past 13 years. Throughout his career, he has worked on renewable projects in a variety of different markets, including commercial, education, industrial, and municipal applications.

Starting his career as an electrician, Ken worked his way up to become a Superintendent and then Project Manager. He later transitioned into estimation and sales positions, and then spent the last seven years serving in director-level roles focused on renewables. 

Ken holds licenses for both electrical and general contracting in the state of California. He studied at Palomar College and San Diego State University. 

The Personal Side

In his free time, Ken enjoys traveling with his wife and their daughter, especially to their favorite destination in Baja, Mexico. His hobbies include diving, fishing, surfing, skiing, hiking, and off-roading.
